tattoo_careGetting permanent tattooed might appear hard but your job is not over only with it the hardest work is to take care of it. Actually the care to be taken after getting inked is very important.

When you have got your fresh new tattoo, from then your job is to take good care of it. Your artist is not responsible for nice or bad design of your tattoo but he/she is not responsible for any infection or problems you may have with your tattoo. You need to know that, only if you don’t take proper care of your tattoo then it creates various skin disease or infection on it. So you need to take proper care of your tattoo. In the following here are some basic guidelines for taking care of your tattoo:

  • After your inking session, your new tattoo will be covered with bandage. You should remove the bandage after about 2 hours and should not re-bandage it.
  • After taking the bandage, before touching the new tattoo, be sure to wash your hands very well. You should use warm water and mild soap for washing the tattoo. Then pat it dry and do not rub with towel. Moreover, by this way you won’t have any complications or infections.
  • For next few days after getting tattooed you should apply A&D Ointment or Zinc oxide ointment three times daily after washing the tattoo. Without using ointment you can use water based lotion.
  • Moreover, you need to avoid swimming in the first two weeks after you get your tattoo. Also don’t submerge your new tattoo underwater for too long.
  • Always make sure that you keep the tattoo moist.
  • Don’t touch it too much, and certainly don’t scratch it. Moreover don’t rub on your tattoo hardly with towel.
  • Always try to avoid contact of tattoo with oils, cleansers, and other chemicals.
  • Once your tattoo is fully healed, use sun blocked lotion to prevent sun damage and preserve your color.

So after you get a tattoo, by fallowing these guidelines you can be sure that you won’t have any problems. But there is a helpful tips for the people who have allergic reactions to tattoo inks or and experience adverse skin reactions. To determine this, you need to see a doctor or dermatologist. But our suggestion is to avoid taking a tattoo for that type of person.
