The Sunday night of this week was a magnificent night for Kristen Dalton, who walked away with the crown of new Miss USA. 22-year-old Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton wins the Miss USA 2009 title in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
The aspirant incentive speaker and entertainer Kristen Dalton beating out 50 other beauty contestants in the live show broadcasted from Las Vegas. In her success she beats Miss California Carrie Prejean who won first runner up title, and second runner up Miss Arizona Alicia Monique Blanco, of Phoenix. After winning the crown Kristen Dalton said,
It feels really natural, I’ve worked so be here and this has been my lifelong dream and it’s finally here. And whoever knew you could win in a turquoise gown?
Dalton has relatively a strong family background with pageants. In 1982 her mother won the title of Miss North Carolina USA and in 2008 her sister won the title of Miss North Carolina Teen USA. Dalton’s success in this beauty contest gives her an apartment in New York City, a PR team, a two years scholarship at the New York Film Academy and an unrevealed salary. In August she will also go to the Miss Universe pageant of Bahamas to compete the preparation, where American beauties are fortuneless in last few years.
